A friend recommended that I watch this movie as soon as possible. "It makes people argue. Do not watch this with anyone else!" he screamed. Not knowing if I was being tricked into watching something spooking, I decided to give it a try.
The movie was only an hour and a half, but seemed more like three. At first.
Alexandra's Project makes its audience wait 40 minutes until it becomes suspenseful. Watching the family continue to make a long melodramtic big deal about Steve (Alexandra's husband) birthday made me want to turn it off and watch something else, but I stayed. Steve arrives home from work anxious to celebrate his birthday with his wife and kids. He soon find's out no one is waiting for him and he is locked in from the inside of his high-security home. Looking for a way to get out he stumbles across a VHS "Play Me". Steve does so with little hesitation. Happy to watch his family wishing him, yet another, happy birthday he soon finds out what is supposed to be a nice dreamy day, Alexandra will make a nightmare.
This movie is HIGHLY sexual and difficult at times to watch. Alexandra's Project will definitly make you think/even say outloud, "What the hell?" or "WTF".
Reply and let me know how many times those thoughts came to mind. (My record: 15)
